The Amadeo treatment concept is a mechatronic rehabilitation device in the field of robotic rehabilitation. It is used for motor function disorders in the distal parts of the upper extremity.
The device imitates the movement and natural grasping movement of the patient’s hand with its patented mechanism. Movement and force can be adjusted according to the other needs of the patient. During the treatment, the patient sits comfortably in front of the device. The patient’s arm is supported and the fingers are attached to the device. Thus, the patient is prepared for the automatic movement sequence.
Passive or active movements are performed depending on the needs of the patient. These are also recorded on the device with the help of sensors. The most important feature of this system is that it enables postoperative rehabilitation of patients who have undergone hand surgery. Hand rehabilitation with robotic system is very important, as the success rate of the operations decreases in patients who have not had adequate rehabilitation after hand surgery.
